VTV secures broadcasting rights for Vietnam-Indonesia clash

VOV.VN -Vietnam Television (VTV) have won the rights to broadcast Vietnam’s upcoming away fixture against Indonesia, which will be held as part of the Asian zone’s second qualifying round for the World Cup 2020.

The match is scheduled to take place at the Bung Karno stadium in Jakarta on October 15.

VTV will have the exclusive rights to broadcast and distribute the match for TV and radio nationwide through satellite, cable, radio, IPTV, Internet, mobile network broadcasting, and public screening within Vietnam.

Commentary and analysis will also accompany the game as its screened live on VTV6.

Previously, the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and the VTC Digital Television under the VOV penned a deal with Next Media to broadcast live all of the Vietnamese national team’s home games during the World Cup 2022 qualification campaign.

Lovers of the beautiful games will now be able to watch all of the national team’s fixtures on VTC1, VTC2, VTC3, VTC9, VOVTV, also known as VietnamJourney, VOV1, VOV2, VOV3, VOV.VN, VTC.VN, VOVMedia, and VTCNOW.

Vietnam are currently in fourth position with only a single point after one match. Leading the group are Thailand who are on four points after two matches, followed by the United Arab Emirates in second and Malaysia in third, with both teams tied on three points after two matches.

Before the away tie against Indonesia however, the national team are set to play a home game against Malaysia at the My Dinh National stadium on October 10.
