18 buried after landslide in northern province

VOV.VN - Heavy rainfall has triggered a serious landslide which buried seven houses and 18 local people, seven of them were dead in Tan Lac district, northern Hoa Binh province on the early morning of October 12.

Bui Van Tinh, secretary of Tan Lac district People’s Committee, said local leaders have mobilized forces in their rescue efforts, adding that dozens of households in the affected area have had to be evacuated.

Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung and leaders of Hoa Binh Province have directed rescue forces in the search for victims.
