Truck driver killed in crash with passenger bus in Nha Trang

VOV.VN - Local police officials reported that a truck driver was killed when a passenger bus struck his and another vehicle yesterday (June 19) on National Highway 1 in the southern Vietnam coastal resort city of Nha Trang.

The victim was identified as a local male, 35, who police said was killed instantly when his truck was rear ended by the bus and forced off the highway into a 10-metre ravine at approximately 10am in the morning.

A second truck driver rear ended by the same bus was injured in the melee and was taken to a local hospital. There are no reports of serious injuries sustained by any passengers on the bus.

It's a very sad day for the family members of the truck driver who lost his life, said police officials, who noted that they will continue to investigate the cause of the fatal crash.
